CHOOSE YOUR TOUR
We offer 2 tours, both include the famous Stingray City and Starfish Point.
MON - FRI: 9AM + 2PM SAT: 9AM
Stingray City + Rum Point + Starfish Point + Kaibo Beach Club*
MON - SAT: 9AM , 12PM, 3PM
Stingray City + Starfish Point
The tours start at the George Town Yacht Club (we can collect you free of charge from your hotel/condo or the cruise terminal if you cannot make your own way there), and finish roughly 2 or 3.5 hours later depending which tour you choose. We'll then take you back to your accommodation or the cruise terminal.
After a safety briefing and a quick practice on the waverunners we'll cruise for 30 minutes (6 miles) across the North Sound to Kaibo Beach* where we disembark for a 15 minute break at the delightful community of Cayman Kai (there's also an excellent artisan coffee shop). Our next stop is just around the bay at Starfish Point where you can interact with the red cushioned sea stars in the shallow waters. Then it's a 10 minute (2 miles) ride on to Stingray City to meet the local rays and swim in the crystal clear waters of the sandbar. Finally it's a 10 minute hop over to Rum Point Club where we go ashore for lunch, a snack or a cold drink at the famous 'Wreck Bar' (lunch is not available on the afternoon tour). Or you can snorkel on the in-shore reef in the sheltered waters. The return journey to George Town from Rum Point is about a 30 minute ride (or 6 miles).
Each tour will consist of up to two guides and up to 4 client waverunners, which can carry a maximum of two people on each - so 8 clients can tour at once. If you do share a jet ski you can swap over half way so you can both experience the hands on thrill of driving as well as being a passenger.
All tour members will be given a full safety briefing beforehand. We are the only jet ski tour company on Grand Cayman to insist that all our guides are trained by Royal Yachting Association (UK) Instructors, and that they possess up-to-date CPR First Aid certificates.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU
Please wear appropriate swimwear, swim shorts, a quick-drying T-shirt, top or rash guard, sun screen, a hat if you require it, sun glasses, The shoes you arrive in can be stored at the departure dock until you return from the tour (this is a 'barefoot' excursion). We provide water on the jet ski, and food can be purchased at Rum Point from the Wreck Bar (bring cash or credit card), You can get a chilled soda or Cayman's best coffee from Kaibo Beach Club*. Please note that there is no space on the jet skis for snorkeling fins. Masks and snorkels can be brought.
THINGS TO NOTE
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your chosen departure time if you are making you own way to the marina. If you arrive later then 15 minutes prior to the departure we can not guarantee that you can join the tour. This tour can only run if a minimum of 2 jet skis are booked. If the minimum is not met, we will offer to reschedule or you will receive a full refund. This tour is not suitable for pregnant women, or for those with history of back and knee problems or severe heart conditions. Consult your doctor before signing up. The maximum weight for a single rider or twin rider combo is 450lbs. This is a physical tour and you will need to be strong and fit enough to get back on your jet ski unaided at Stingray City in water that maybe between 3ft and 6ft deep depending on the sea conditions.
*Kaibo - please note that when Kaibo Beach Club is closed during low season (Sept to October) we will spend longer at the other 3 stops on the 4 stop tour to make up the 15 minutes we would have spent at Kaibo.
